After many years of waiting and praying, this family was blessed with this sweet baby boy! As I got to know this family, I remember this mama described their journey as a struggle of loss, love, and perseverance. They wanted to capture this precious moment in time so that their son can see how much he was wanted and how much they loved him!

During their newborn session, I remember wanting to highlight the love, joy, and tenderness of this season of life. We didn't use any props and I didn't stage them in any awkward or cheesy poses. I wanted to capture something real and genuine, and instead asked them to engage and interact with their sweet baby boy. And you know what? It was MAGIC. What a JOY it was to capture these newborn photos for my sweet neighbors, Marlee and Caleb! :) Baby Levi was so cute and had amazing SILVER-BLONDE hair! We started off the shoot relaxing in the living room, and the light was absolutely perfect. We then captured photos in the master bedroom (isn’t the teal-colored wall beautiful?) and it was so adorable to see him cuddling in his parents’ arms. I had the honor of capturing newborn photos for the Cooper family, and it was such a sweet session! Baby R is the fourth child in the family, and the older siblings were so wonderful at handling baby sister :) One of the things I loved most about this session was capturing the silliness but also tenderness of the children! I think my favorite moments was when I was photographing dad with baby R, and the kids jumped into the shot and said “cook-a-doodle-doo!” For some reason they loved saying that, and I thought it was so cute! :) See more sweet and tender photos by scrolling down!
