I had the honor of capturing newborn photos for this sweet family in December, and we had such a WONDERFUL time together! We started the shoot in the master bedroom, and the natural light was so soft and pretty, and created such a cozy and warm atmosphere! I learned that Christian built the headboard, bed frame, as well as their dogs' sleeping crate, and the craftsmanship was amazing!! Just see the photos below! Baby Callie was also SO chill and content during the whole shoot, and made the sweetest expressions. Their dogs, Charlie and Winston, also did an amazing job during the session and were super friendly! We also captured photos in the living room, and I thought the Christmas tree was a great way of capturing the holiday season as well as this precious season of life! :) Scroll down to see some more beautiful photos from this sweet newborn session!

There were a lot of babies born this fall/winter, and this baby girl was one of them! I had the honor of working with Aliza and Dave, and their baby girl was such a joy to capture. One of the most memorable things about this shoot was the wall of photos displayed in their living room. Aliza and Dave LOVE travel and photography, and captured some incredible photos over the years! Some images included animals they documented from a SAFARI; if you scroll down, the last photo shows a portrait of them standing in front of their incredible wall of photos. After many years of waiting and praying, this family was blessed with this sweet baby boy! As I got to know this family, I remember this mama described their journey as a struggle of loss, love, and perseverance. They wanted to capture this precious moment in time so that their son can see how much he was wanted and how much they loved him!

During their newborn session, I remember wanting to highlight the love, joy, and tenderness of this season of life. We didn't use any props and I didn't stage them in any awkward or cheesy poses. I wanted to capture something real and genuine, and instead asked them to engage and interact with their sweet baby boy. And you know what? It was MAGIC.
