Welcome Baby Blair | Hillsborough Newborn Photographer

It was such a joy capturing newborn photos of Baby Blair a few weeks ago! I honestly never get tired of documenting newborn photos at home—it’s truly the most meaningful and beautiful place to be as a growing family! We started off the shoot by capturing some candid photos in the living room. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was including their mini golden-doodle, Stanley, in the photos! He was a bit timid and shy at first, but once he warmed up to me, he LOVED the camera (as you can see in the photos below!). Another memorable part of the shoot was when we were nearing the end of the shoot, Blair started crying and started pooping into her parents’ hands! Stephen said, “I can feel it coming out!” Fortunately she was wearing a diaper, and the expression on Caryn and Stephen’s face was PRICELESS. See more adorable, sweet, and some hilarious moments below!

A Romantic Wedding at Merrimon-Wynne House | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

After a year and a half of waiting, Cassandra and Blake were able to finally celebrate their special day with their friends and family! :) Some of you may remember they held a very small, intimate wedding ceremony last year on their original wedding date (see blog here) and decided to postpone their larger gathering to 2021.

It truly was such a JOY and honor to document their larger gathering this year! All the details were so beautiful, and I especially loved seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces. Two Roosters were also there and served ice cream during the reception! It was such a fun and sweet treat! :) See more beautiful highlights from this wonderful day below! Congrats again, Cassandra and Blake!

Summer Maternity Session at UNC | Chapel Hill Family Photographer

I recently had the honor of capturing maternity photos for Shirin and Tyler around the UNC Chapel Hill campus, and it was seriously so much FUN! When they were brainstorming locations for their maternity session, Tyler had the idea of doing it at UNC, where they first met as undergrads. As they started searching for UNC maternity photographers, they found one of my pictures online, which was how we got in touch!

The day of our shoot was hot and humid (typical North Carolina summer weather!), and fortunately, we captured these photos in the morning before it got even hotter. Shirin and Tyler were SO cheerful and natural in front of the camera, and I loved how much they would smile and laugh with one another! Another memorable part of the shoot was incorporating their sweet dog, Luna, in the photos! She LOVED to sit on Shirin (as you can see in the pictures below) and was truly the sweetest dog and followed commands so well! We captured photos around the iconic Old Well, the upper quad, Davie Bench (a.k.a the “Kissing Bench”), and the beautiful Bell Tower. Believe it or not, it was my first time doing a shoot at the Bell Tower, and I can’t believe I haven’t been there earlier—it’s stunning! Enjoy the highlights below, and I can’t wait for their baby girl to arrive!
