I had the honor of working with the R family during the holidays! We had a wonderful time capturing family photos at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, and the venue was filled with beautiful Christmas decorations. It was also a special session because they are expecting their second child in 2025, and they wanted to preserve some memories of this current stage of life before baby #2 arrives! We captured some gorgeous family photos in one of the hallways in the lobby, and natural light was stunning. Not only was the light amazing, their son and dog, Chief, were SO adorable and sweet! :) We also had a chance to capture photos outdoors, and then ended the session indoors by the Christmas tree. What a joy it was to work with the N family again this holiday season! We had a blast capturing their family photos at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. Their daughter was such a ham and had just as much energy as our session last year! One of the cutest expressions she had was sticking her tongue out (which I learned was her signature look!), and she also LOVED swinging while holding her parents’ hands! It was a joy working with the A family again this fall! We captured photos at the UNC Coker Arboretum, and it was so beautiful! The leaves were a lovely orange, and the weather was pleasant and cool. We captured photos the day before Thanksgiving, and so I asked the kids their favorite Thanksgiving foods, etc. One of my favorite moments from the session was when I asked their son to say, “turkey” to the camera, he would instead say, “apple!” That went on for the whole shoot, and it totally made me laugh! :) The kids were also very active and LOVED running. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to capture them in action to remember this precious moment in time.
