It was truly a JOY and honor to capture this newborn session for Sydney and Nick last month! You may remember them from their gorgeous winter maternity session, and they totally rocked it again with their newborn shoot! The true star of the show was Baby Theo :) He was so chill during the shoot and so incredibly cute—even when he’s sleeping or eating! In addition, their spunky and energetic 50-pound goldendoodle was such a ham! Yes, he was named after the Star Wars character, Kylo Ren :) My favorite part of this shoot was honestly just documenting all of them together, and capturing the deep love they have for one another! I had such a sweet time photographing newborn photos for the Vanderslice family! There were so many tender moments, and I think what I loved most about this shoot was seeing the expression on the parents’ faces. The joy of having a child was so evident, and they were so relaxed in front of the camera! I also LOVED their Winnie the Pooh themed nursery!! Baby B celebrated her first birthday recently, and we had such a blast capturing this precious milestone at the UNC Coker Arboretum in Chapel Hill! She was ALL smiles and showed so much curiosity and energy. My favorite moment was capturing her cake smash! She was SO eager to dig into the cake even before her dad put the cake down! :) She showed no hesitation to eat cake, and thoroughly enjoyed it! See more of my favorite highlights below!
