I had the wonderful honor of working with the Carvalho family again! They are truly some of the most cheerful and fun people I know, and they recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the family! :) We started with some photos outside on their porch and backyard, then made our way inside for some lifestyle photos around the nursery. One of my favorite moments was capturing them reading a book called, “I’m a Big Brother!” to their son. So far he has been loving being a big brother, and is such an affectionate kid! Most of all, I loved just seeing how happy they were all together! Baby Lilly was also such a chill baby, and I loved it when her brother got excited when she opened her eyes in her crib (see photos below!). Scroll down to see more beautiful newborn photos!

I absolutely LOVED capturing this gorgeous lifestyle newborn session of Baby Maggie! I think documenting newborn memories in your home is one of the most genuine, natural, and relaxing ways to remember the first few weeks of your baby’s life. It’s so much less stressful than having to go somewhere! One of the most memorable things about this shoot was how much Maggie wanted to eat! They already fed her prior to the session, and it was so precious to see how much she still wanted to eat during the shoot :) I also loved it when Maggie lifted her pinkie when drinking her bottle (see photo halfway down!). Capturing family photos can be hard especially if you have family living across the world! I had the honor of photographing Aru and Conor’s family recently, and it was extra special to have Aru’s parents included in the session. I remember her sharing that they were going to be traveling soon back to India (after an extended stay here due to the pandemic), and they weren’t sure when they will be able to see them again. Thus they wanted to get some family photos to remember this special time!

We had so much fun capturing some candid photos at Forest Hills Park in Durham, and I remember it was such a beautiful and sunny day! I loved seeing how happy their baby girl was when she interacted with her grandparents. Her laughs and smiles were truly the sweetest! It was also so precious to see her grandparents playing with her, and giving her kisses on the cheek! :) See more beautiful photos from this outdoor family session below!
