I’ve been working with this wonderful family for the past few years, and I was SO excited and honored to capture newborn photos of their second baby girl! Baby C was beyond precious and it was beautiful to capture everyone’s joy. We took these photos in December, and I loved Baby C’s festive holiday swaddle that said, “we wish you a Merry Christmas” :) I also loved the Winnie-the-Pooh theme nursery and blanket! I absolutely LOVE doing family sessions at home! It’s a place that is so rich and vibrant with meaning, and a place where kids can feel comfortable! I had the honor of working with this sweet family at their gorgeous home in Bahama, NC. We started off with a couple of lifestyle photos inside, then went outside to capture the beautiful fall colors and leaves! One of my favorite parts of the shoot was capturing how much their older daughter loved swinging with her parents. She seriously had the biggest smile! :) I also loved capturing the silly and sweet moments when they were playing in the leaves (and throwing them in the air too!). There was also a moment when their older daughter got a boo-boo, and it was sweet to document her parents kissing her boo-boo better :) Check out more of my favorite moments from this awesome family session below!

What an honor it was to capture this newborn session for Blake and Cassandra! I’ve had the privilege of capturing their proposal/engagement and wedding, and it was such a joy to photograph this new season of life for them :) Also, did you know this family MOVED and gave birth to Baby A all within a few weeks before we did this newborn session? I was blown away at how they were handling all these changes and loved seeing the pure joy they had with their baby girl.
