I had the privilege of working with the D family again, and it was for a special celebration! Their three boys have birthdays in the summer within a few weeks of each other, and it was the perfect time for them to host a family reunion. The extended family has not been together since pre-covid times, so this was extra special! My favorite moment from this event was when it was time for CAKE :) The kids were SO excited and literally couldn’t keep their eyes off of the amazing Encanto-themed cake! I also loved that the boys had their ages on their shirts—it was SO cute! Enjoy seeing my favorite highlights and moments below!

I had the honor of working with the Boros family again, and we captured some beautiful outdoor photos with extended family this year! We went to Umstead Park and it was such a wonderful place for all the kids to run and explore nature, and there truly was never a dull moment during the shoot :) The shoot started off with one of the kiddos missing his shoe (which we quickly found nearby!), and I often tell people that it’s the in-between moments like this that I believe are worth capturing! Besides these silly moments, we also captured some beautiful family portraits of the whole family, cousins, and more in the forest as well as the gorgeous lake. I had the honor of photographing this precious family reunion recently at Lake Gaston! This photoshoot was so meaningful in so many ways. I remember speaking to their oldest daughter, Lindsey, that they haven’t seen their younger sister since Christmas of 2019 since she lives out of state. She also mentioned they haven’t done a family photo for about 10 years, and it was something her father has been wanting to do for a long time. To be able to get the family together and commemorate this special season of life was such a gift! We took some beautiful photos on the dock by the lake, and also capture some gorgeous photos by the swing in the garden. They were absolutely delightful to work with, and I enjoyed capturing all the joyous smiles, laughter, and hugs! See more precious photos below!
