I had SO much fun working with the de Jong family again, and we had a wonderful time capturing some Christmas family photos at their beautiful home! One of my favorite parts of doing family photos is capturing a sibling photo of the kids as well as individual headshots of each child. As most of you know, siblings are different and each child has their own unique personality! Some kids are more agreeable, some are more reserved, and some are super silly! Meet the sweet Thomas family! We had so much fun capturing family photos at the gorgeous Riverwalk in Hillsborough. I remember we were so surprised at the warm fall weather that day (I think it was in the 70s?), but still had a great time documenting these precious memories :) I learned that Mae and her husband both knew each other since they were FIVE and were also high school sweethearts! One of my favorite moments was capturing how happy and cheerful her son was, and seeing the joy they had being together as a family. It was also so fun to see Baby C’s wonder for nature! :) See more beautiful highlights below!

I had SO much fun capturing photos of this sweet family again! We started off the shoot with some family portraits on the front steps, and then we captured a lot of candid shots of the kids! Since most kids are wiggly and are constantly on the move, I love incorporating photos of children moving and having FUN! One of the best ways to capture joyful expressions is letting your kids do what they love. During the session, I had the oldest son ride his bike around his family, and the grin on his face was priceless! I also loved capturing the boys on their scooters, playing in the treehouse, and being silly with their parents. I also snuck in a quick portrait of just the parents because I know it’s not often you get a photo of just the two of you (most people tell me the last time they got a professional photo of the two of them was their wedding day!).
