I had such a blast taking photos for the Glass family again! We had such a wonderful and FUN family session at their home. One of my favorite moments was when I had all of them throw leaves in the air! They have a lot of trees around their home, so we had plenty of crunchy leaves to throw and the photos were absolutely priceless! I also remember during the session, their youngest was getting hungry so we stopped for a short snack. He munched on a banana and it was SO cute to see how happy he was to eat! He was seriously all smiles after having his banana :) Enjoy getting to know this beautiful family and seeing some of my favorite highlights below!
I had the honor of photographing the Prenshaw family again this past winter, and we had such an awesome time taking photos at West Point on the Eno in Durham! It was extra special because their daughter turned ONE, and it is incredible to see how much she has grown!
The day of our shoot was cool and crisp, and I was so excited the sun was out because it created GORGEOUS backlighting. One of my favorite parts of this shoot was simply seeing Carley and Eric interacting with their daughter, and seeing how much they can get this girl to giggle! I also loved seeing them laughing and playing together. There was a funny moment when their daughter was curiously studying the environment and found a leaf. She looked at it for a second and then proceeded to put it in her mouth! What was funnier was her mama copied her, and I quickly snapped a picture of that silly moment!
Enjoy some highlights below and seeing more beautiful photos from this family session!

I had a wonderful time taking maternity photos for the Geary family last month! They are truly one of the most upbeat and cheerful families I’ve met, and they were all SO natural in front of the camera (including their cute little maltipoo!). We took photos during the golden hour (my favorite time of day!), and the light was absolutely amazing!! The sun came out from behind the clouds a couple of times, and it created such a beautiful, warm backlight to the photos. I especially loved the backlight when capturing Sarah’s solo maternity portraits and the photos where Sarah and Matthew were swinging their daughter (she was so happy!). The sunlight behind them added wonderful dimension and depth to the photo, and just looked so pretty!
What I loved most of all from this photo shoot was capturing the “togetherness” of their family before baby #2 arrives. Maternity sessions are truly a family session. Maternity sessions are more than just capturing your baby belly; it’s more about capturing who you are as a family in this moment in time. The dynamic of your family will change and documenting the reality of this moment before everything changes is priceless. Trust me, you will never regret capturing the different seasons of life with your family!
