The Boros Family | Raleigh Family Photographer

I had so much fun taking photos for the Boros family this past fall at Umstead Park in Raleigh! Stefanie and I had a great connection during the initial consultation. I remember her telling me that they were looking for a photographer who can capture candid moments, and boy, we sure had a lot of candid and FUN moments during this shoot!

One of the most memorable things from this shoot was that we found a TOAD during our session. It was so endearing to see how excited everyone was and how the boys’ faces lit up! Capturing the youngest one giggling while holding the toad was priceless! I also learned that this family was an animal-loving family, and it was so evident when they gently handled the toad :) We ended the shoot by the lake, and the sun was setting so beautifully. I think another one of my favorite moments towards the end was when I was capturing a portrait of all of them hugging and embracing one another. It was a brief moment, but truly a tender and beautiful moment that I know will be cherished forever!

A Beautiful Baby Girl | Durham Newborn Photographer

The amount of CUTENESS and sweetness from this newborn session was off the charts! I had a wonderful time working with Melody and Chris again (remember their gorgeous maternity session at UNC?) and photographing their newest member of the family—baby Ellison! She truly had the cutest yawns and made the sweetest expressions during our session. We also incorporated some of their favorite swaddles in the shoot, and I absolutely loved the modern and elegant design!

I remember when I got to their home, I was SO excited when I saw their bedroom because the morning light filled the room beautifully! We then began the shoot doing individual portraits of just Ellison, and she was incredibly natural in front of the camera. I think one of my favorite moments of her was when she was snuggled between her parents, she had her hand under her chin with the sweetest smile on her face!

Another memorable part of the shoot was towards the end of the session. I always love capturing a few photos of the baby sleeping, and I love the shot where Melody gives Ellison a kiss on the cheek! Her expression was so peaceful and the connection between them was so precious! We also photographed Ellison lying down on top of the lemur quilt that Melody made, and I was so impressed! The quilt was SO well-made and absolutely stunning!

Hope y’all enjoy some of my favorite photos below from this wonderful newborn session! Congrats again, Melody and Chris! :)

Beautiful Sunset Family Session at the Farm | Rougemont Family Photographer

It was an incredible honor taking photos for the Cacchio family on their BEAUTIFUL farm in Rougemont, NC! I remember when I arrived, I felt like I stepped into a dream. The sunset light was perfect, and we had a ton of space for pretty backdrops!

There were so many sweet and fun moments from the shoot. One of the things that stood out to me was how friendly this family was including the animals on their farm! When I was capturing the family interacting together, their dog, Boots, would automatically follow along and I thought it was so natural and sweet! I loved it when he also started licking Megan’s face when I was in the middle of taking their photos, and her expression and laugh was priceless!

I also loved how sweet and friendly their oldest daughter was, and her mom told me that her teachers call her a “bottle of sunshine,” and I could totally see that! They also had a six month old daughter, and she was SO easy going and laid back during the shoot! In addition, I learned that both the mom and her older daughter enjoy riding horses, and I had an opportunity to capture their four month old foal (he’s the brown horse in the photos below!). The sweetest moment was when he gave Megan a kiss! :)
