It was an honor to capture these sweet newborn photos for this beautiful family recently! I had a blast working with Kimmy, Dennis, and Baby E. One of my favorite parts of this shoot was doing photos in the nursery! The light was amazing and the woodland theme was adorable. I also loved that they had a lot of Canadian things (as the parents are both originally from Canada!) and also had a lot of engineering books (b/c both parents are engineers!). The little personalizations and details are truly what makes each newborn session unique and special. Enjoy seeing more of my favorite moments below!

Y’all, this shoot was AMAZING in every single way! Despite the crazy heat and humidity that day, this sweet family totally rocked it in front of the camera! It was also a bittersweet session because they will be moving soon, so this was a very special session to remember their time in Durham. Their son was seriously the HAPPIEST kid I’ve ever met! He was so smiley, silly, and cheerful, and you can’t help but smile, too! :) I also loved capturing their laughter and interactions with one another, and I especially loved the photos we captured towards the end. We documented a beautiful family photo with the water tower in the background, which is so iconic and totally Durham! I had the honor of capturing newborn photos of Baby A for this wonderful and creative family! The hilarious part was seeing how much their dog, Layla, LOVED the camera! She was SO excited and would keep walking up to the camera during the first part of the shoot (as you can see below!). It was so funny and adorable! :) Bronwyn is also an amazing illustrator and Ross is a seasoned musician (and let me just say they are both WILDLY talented), and I wanted to incorporate their passions into the shoot. We captured photos in Bronwyn’s art studio, and it was fun to see her in action! I also loved how we captured Ross playing the guitar while they all relaxed on the couch—the music was so soothing and beautiful!
