I had a lot of fun working with the N family this month at the iconic American Tobacco Campus in Durham! Their daughter was celebrating a one-year milestone, and was an amazingly FAST crawler—I literally broke a sweat trying to keep up with her! She also had a delightful amount of energy and curiosity, which is such a special thing to capture at this age. I loved how relaxed this family was, and how much fun they had together! What a joy it was to work with the Z family again! It was so fun to capture their family photos around the holidays at their home. We started off by photographing some lifestyle family photos around their Christmas tree, and it was so precious to see how much their girls loved the tree! Afterwards, we captured family photos of them with the menorah, as well as fun photos of them playing with all of the girls’ stuffed animals. For the last half of the shoot, we had a TON of fun playing hide-and-seek outside and tossing leaves in the air! :) See more precious and magical moments from this holiday family session below!

I had a wonderful time working with Silvie! She was graduating from Duke University in their Nurse Practitioner (NP) masters program, and it truly was an honor to capture this special achievement for Silvie. The weather was a bit chilly, but fortunately the sun was out to help warm us up! We captured a couple of photos by the famous arches by Duke Chapel, and also took some gorgeous portraits nearby. One of the things I LOVED about the shoot was Silvie’s beautiful, colorful stole! I love it when students incorporate a part of their story and heritage into the session :) Congrats again, Silvie!
