It was an honor taking photos for the Shah family during the fall season! This family truly had some of the SWEETEST smiles, and the kids had me cracking up so many times during our shoot! We took photos at the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, and I remember the weather was SUPER windy that day. Fortunately, this family persevered and still did an amazing job! The tickling and hugging definitely kept everyone warm :)

One of my favorite moments was capturing photo of the siblings. I usually like to include the kids and ask if they have any ideas for poses or funny photos they want to do. I would say 99% of the time the kids do have an idea, and I end up LOVING their ideas! Why? Because it totally captures their personalities in such an honest and genuine way! The laughter and smiles on their faces are so natural and organic, and that makes it priceless. For these kids, the older two wanted to carry their youngest brother, and thought it would be funny to hold him up in the middle between them. I took that photo and they thought it was hilarious and couldn’t stop laughing!

It was such an honor to capture family photos for some dear friends of mine, Ga Ming and Matthew! I know them from church, and they are one of the most down to earth people I know. I had SO much fun capturing photos of their adorable family, and their son was just a few months old when we captured these photos! He was very observant and chill during the whole shoot, and he truly made my job easy! :) It truly was a joy capturing their growing family, and documenting this special moment in time. I had such a blast taking photos for the Glass family again! We had such a wonderful and FUN family session at their home. One of my favorite moments was when I had all of them throw leaves in the air! They have a lot of trees around their home, so we had plenty of crunchy leaves to throw and the photos were absolutely priceless! I also remember during the session, their youngest was getting hungry so we stopped for a short snack. He munched on a banana and it was SO cute to see how happy he was to eat!
