I had a blast working with the C family again this spring! I’ve worked with this sweet family for many years now, and it is a joy working with them every time! We captured their spring family photos at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, which is one of my favorite spots. During the shoot, I remember how much their kids LOVED to run, so I decided to work with it. I aimed to capture more movement and action, so we did a lot of running and swinging. Their son also loves to play soccer, which allowed us to capture some awesome action shots! What a JOY it was to work with the Y family again! We captured their family photos at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, and it truly was a perfect day. There were so many sweet and silly moments—from the adorable Elmo cap they brought, to all the running, dancing, and tickling! I also learned before the shoot that their daughter was really into cookies, so I suggested they bring some as part of the shoot. As a tip for those reading this blog, snacks are an AWESOME way to get some fun candid shots of kids! The chocolate chips cookies worked its magic and we got some ADORABLE shots. I loved it when their daughter was feeding cookies to her parents, and when she was feeding cookies to her Cookie Monster plushie! I had such a sweet time working with this lovely couple! They wanted to capture some photos of themselves to remember this season of their life. I thought that was SO precious—every season of life is worth capturing and remembering! I learned that they are both musical people; the husband plays the guitar and the wife plays the piano. They were so talented! As a musician myself, I thought it was meaningful for them to incorporate their musical talents as part of the shoot! They also love playing Wordle (I’m a fan of the game too!), and usually play together in their sunroom each morning. It was so special and sweet to capture them doing an activity they love together!
